The Special Rescue Team (SRT), dependent of the Emergency Department of DYA Vizcaya, is a team make up by professionals and volunteers multidisciplinary, correctly prepared, equipped, trained, organised and used to make voluntary specific activities in order to preserve lives and goods affected by catastrophes.

Our area of action is focused in Vizcaya and wherever we can help in order to our possibilities and objectives. Those international actions are to express the solidarity of DYA which the populations affected with any kind of disaster.

How we work?

The organisation of the Special Rescue Team has as objective secure the activation of the human and material resources in a minimum time. Also secures the autonomy of his teams at least 10 days in any area of the world.

It has a modular structure with a minimum group of resources (Basic Operative Module) which can be multiply depends of the need.

The Operative Modules have five structures: Rescue Team, Sanitary Assistant Team, Psychological Assistance Team, Management and Control Team and Logistic Team. This last is to support the previously teams.
